Eldon Dean Hardman

Eldon Dean Hardman, 65, passed away August 18, 1997, at the Bear River Valley Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born July 4, 1932 in Malad, Idaho, a son of Gwen Dolan and Lucille Bird Hardman. He married Joyce Harris July 21, 1953 in the Logan LDS Temple.
He worked on the family farm in Arbon Valley, Idaho during the summer while he was growing up. He served in the Armed Forces from 1953-1955. He worked for Welling Grain Company and Intermountain Farmers until retirement in 1993. He was a very hard working and dependable employee.
He was a member of the Garland 3rd Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Joy, five children: Brent, Houston, Texas; Shari, Layton; Kyle (Daralee) Brigham City; Darren (Sharon), Smithfield; Stacey (Todd) Butler, Logan; and six grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother and three sisters, Russell G. (Sylvia) Hardman, Pocatello; Valerie (Carl) Burnett; Lois (Bob) Layne; LaDonne (Gerald) Plowman, all of Logan; and step-sister, Lorraine (Lew) Harrison, Pocatello.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father R. Truman Hillyard and step-brothers, Owen and Noel.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 23, 1997 at 11 a.m. at the Garland Tabernacle 140 West Factory with Bishop Clark Nielson officiating. Friends may call Friday, August 22, 6-8 p.m. at Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton, and Saturday at the church, August 23, 9:30-10:30 a.m.
Interment Mendon Cemetery.
