Edith Jones Ward, (1924)

WARD, EDITH JONES, September 18, 1924 – November 16, 2004

Edith, our loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to all who knew her, passed away November 16, 2004 at home with her family. She was born September 18, 1924 at Malad, Idaho to George Wilford and Lillian parry Jones. She was the youngest of 11 children. She has one surviving brother, Zeph (Mae) Jones.

She married Elmer Vance Ward on July 22, 1944 and they were later sealed in the Logan LDS Temple on December 18, 1961. They had recently celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary.

She is survived by her husband, Elmer, two sons, three daughters and their spouses: Linda and Ken Davis, Vance and JoAnn Ward, Arlene and Ken Colling, Laurie and jerry Call, Darrel and Laurie Ward. She has 24 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Laurel Ann Ward.

She will be dearly missed by all her loving family and friends. She touched the hearts of all those who knew and loved her. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many different positions.

Funeral services were conducted by Bishop Bill Hubbard on November 20, 2004. Burial followed at the Arbon Cemetery.
