FUNERAL SERVICES HELD FOR EDGAR THORPE

Funeral services for Edgar Thorpe, 89, who died October 5, 1981 were held October 8th at the Malad LDS 1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Gordon Griffiths officiating.

Family prayer was offered by Bishop Thurman Edgar Thorpe.

At the chapel, the following participated in the funeral service: Brent Evanson, invocation; Thurman Tyson Thorpe, tribute; Tommy Thorpe, speaker; Paula Morby, vocal; Bishop Griffiths, remarks; Lyle Hess, benediction; Mary Lynn Spahr, prelude and postlude music.

Concluding rites were conducted at the Malad City Cemetery with Richard Rice offering the dedicatory prayer.

Casket bearers were Mark Price, Edgar Blair Thorpe, Thurman Tyson Thorpe, John Joseph Cambareri, Salvator Steven Cambareri and Brent Evanson.

Honorary bearers were World War I Veterans, with military rites conducted by the American Legion Ernest W. Jones Post. No. 65.

Flowers were cared for by the Malad 1st Ward Relief Society, Thelma Daniels, president.
