CLINTON – Earle Franklin Caldwell passed away Saturday , July 5, 2014 at Country Pines Assisted Living. He was born April 4 , 1932 in Stone, Idaho to Elden and Dorothy Carter Caldwell.

Earle married Lila Packer Gunderson on September 28, 1968 in Preston, Idaho . They were later sealed in the Ogden Temple. Lila passed away December 28 , 1989.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day_ Saints.

Earle worked for ODO retiring after 38 years of service. He enjoyed gardening, working, taking care of his yard and his neighbor’s yards. He enjoyed keeping tabs of the neighborhood in Washington Terrace; He loved visiting with people and sitting on his porch, watching and waving to friends.

Surviving are his children: Brent (Geri) Gunderson of Henderson, NV; Laurel Gunderson of Syracuse; Joanna (Gary) Kellerstrass of Layton; nine grandchildren, Dirk, Deanne, Tyler, Cameron, Darian, Jordan, Lisa, Laurie and Kimberli, 21 great-grandchi ldren. Also surviving are siblings: James (Helen) Caldwell of Woodland Hills, CA; Lorna Huggins of Ogden; Diane Warner of Utah County ; A special friend – Lois Beck and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one brother Leland Caldwell, and one sister Linnie Berrett. Specialthanks to Hearts for Hospice and to Country Pines for the care given to Earle.

“When you have someone you love in Heaven, you have a little bit of Heaven in your home.” We love you Dad and Grandpa Earle.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday , July 9, 2014 at 1 p.m. at Myers Roy Mortuary , 5865 South 1900 West, Roy. A gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday from 10:40 a.m. to 12:40 p.m. prior to services.
