Mrs. John Caldwell Dies of Heart Trouble

Emily Vaughan Caldwell died August 12, 1924, of heart trouble, caused by an ingrowing goitre (goiter), after an acute illness of two months.

Mrs. Caldwell was born in Malad on the second day of January, 1874, and has resided here almost continuously.

She was married to John Caldwell and was the mother of five children, Vernal, Mabel, Isabelle, Earl and Khalil, all now living in Malad.

She was a member of the L. D. S. church.

The many friends who have grown from childhood to mature age in close association with her are deeply grieved by her passing. She had a personality which won friends and held them.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at two o’clock from the Stake tabernacle.
