Funeral services held for Earl Malmrose Sheffield

Funeral services were held for Earl Malmrose Sheffield, age 71, of Brigham City, Utah Monday, August 5, 1985 at 1:00 p.m. in the Box Elder LDS Stake Chapel. Bishop Reed A. Olsen officiated.

Mr. Sheffield was born November 10, 1913 in Brigham City, Utah and passed away Wednesday, July 31, 1985 in Brigham City, Utah.

Casket bearers were Brian Sheffield, Jeffery Sheffield, Ryan Moore, Todd Mills, Scott Mills, Brett Mills and Douglas Mills.

Honorary bearers were Ralph Westover, Sherman Walker, Leo Walker, Ronnie Endress and Robert Haynie.

The family prayer was offered by Dennis E. Sheffield and prelude and postlude music was played by Donna S. Moore.

The invocation was given by Bishop Dennis F. Moore afterwhich(sic) a song “I Know That My Redeemer Lives: was sung by Don Jewkes, Wynn Jeppsen, Dan Slater and Ellis Wood and accompanied by Naone Godfrey.

Bishop David R. Mills then spoke followed by an organ and piano duet “The Lord’s Prayer” by Donna S. Moore and Elaine S. Mills.

Bishop Wynn N. Jeppsen then spoke and Bishop Reed A. Olsen offered remarks, a song “O My Father” was sung by Kaye Bowman, Sherry Goldsberry and DeAnn Valentine and accompanied by Naone Godfrey.

The benediction was given by Boyd M. Sheffield.

Concluding services were at the Brigham City Cemetery. Dennis E. Sheffield offered the dedicatory prayer.

Flowers were cared for by the Brigham City LDS Second Ward Relief Society. Mary Miller, President.
