Funeral Rites Held For Earl Davis

Funeral services for Earl Davis, 31, who died May 25, (1951) were held May 29 at the Samaria chapel with Bishop Carl Evans presiding and giving the obituary.

Earl, a son of Edgar and Sara Price Davis was born October 10, 1919 at Samaria, Idaho. Part of his life was spent with his parents in Ogden and Twin Falls, having moved back to Samaria in 1940.

Prayer at the funeral home was offered by Orville Tolman who also dedicated the grave; Jessie John played the prelude and postlude; D. M. Price offered the invocation; Llewellyn Williams, the benediction. J. P. Jensen and J. M. Isaacson were the speakers. The musical numbers consisted of a solo, Alma Reynolds; duet, Wanda Napier and Theda Pilgrim accompanied by Margaret Laws; duet, Deloria Price and Leah Waldron accompanied by Mada Waldron; duet, Martha Peterson and Jessie John accompanied by Leah Waldron.

Survivors include his father: two brothers, Stanford Davis, Samaria; Edgar Davis Jr., Ventura, California; three sisters. Mrs. Orville Tolman, Maywood, Calif.; Mrs. Neva Birch, Huntington Park, Calif.; Mrs. Ray Fullmer, Bell Garden, Calif..
