Earl David Zundel

ZUNDEL, EARL DAVID – May 3, 1925 – December 27, 2003

ALAMEDA, CA – Earl David Zundel died December 27, 2003 in Alameda, California.

Earl was born in Malad, Idaho May 3, 1925. He was the third child of Swight H. and Vilet Lewis Zundel. When his father started to work for the railroad in 1930, they moved to Pocatello and he lived there until he was drafted into the Navy during the second world war. He had one more of school left, and received his diploma a couple years ago during a ceremony for the boys like him who did not get a chance because of the war.

He married Anna mae Mittlestedt in the Idaho Falls Temple November 29, 1946. They were blessed with five children; Coralie (Jim Paatterson), Germantown, Wis., Marie (Art Williams), Highlands Ranch, Colo., Julia (Pearson), Alameda, Calif., Glenn and Pat Zundel, Kenall, Alaska, and Melvin and Pam Zundel, Seaside, Ore. He has 15 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Mae; three daughters, two sons and four brothers, Dwight Zundel (Betty), Pocatello, Voyd Zundel (Euleta) Stevensville, Mont., Reed Zundel (Joann), Quartzsite, Ariz., Wayne Zundel (Shirley), Pine, Idaho and one sister, Elaine Nelson (Larry), Pocatello.

His funeral was in Alameda Jan. 3, 2004 and his burial was Jan. 5, 2004.
