DUANE DAVID NEAL

Duane David Neal, 88, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on September 13, 2011.

He was born January 2, 1923 in Stone, Idaho, son of Fredrick Charles Neal and Christina Daley Neal.

Duane graduated from Bear River High School in 1940. He married Maxine Hunt on September 12, 1944. They were later sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple on May 21, 1964. Duane was a lifelong member of the LDS Church and served in several callings. He worked at the navy Arsenal, Utah Wholesale Grocers, and retired from the US Postal Service.

Duane is survived by daughters: Cheryl (Ken) Smith; Lael (Gerald) Smock; and son, Dale (Sherry) Neal; ten grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxine, who passed away May 16, 2011.

Family will meet with friends September 18, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. at Leavitt’s Mortuary, Ogden. Services will be held September 19, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch.
