Dorothy Williams, 85, of Idaho Falls, died September 11, 2002 at her home. She was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

She was born August 9, 1917 in Samaria, ID to Henry John Thomas and Mary Ann Jenkins Thomas. She attended primary schools in Samaria and high school in Salt Lake City. She has lived in Idaho Falls for 60 years. She married William Jenkin Williams, July 4, 1936 in Cherry Creek Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on May 1, 1946. Her husband preceded her in death February 13, 1990. She worked as a technician in Central Services at the Idaho Falls River View Hospital.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served as a visiting teacher and Sunday School secretary.

She enjoyed genealogy, gardening and especially her family, grand and great grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons: William J. Bill and Rosemary Williams, Provo, UT; Michael D. and Ann Williams, Idaho Falls, ID; her daughter in law, Linda Williams, Idaho Falls, ID; ;four sisters: Vida Bedell, Rachel Marshall, Twila Silvester, all of Ogden, UT; Leah Jones, Blackfoot, ID; 12 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a son, Gerald Williams, one sister, Grace Thomas, and three brothers, Lloyd, LaMar and Ken Thomas.

Funeral services were held September 14, 2002 at the Idaho Falls LDS Fourth Ward.

Burial was in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
