Daniel Davis dies July 21st

Daniel Davis, age 73, of Twin Falls, died Saturday, July 21 (1979) at a Twin Falls Hospital after a long illness.

He was born in Gwenford, Idaho April 13, 1906.

Mr. Davis graduated from Malad High School and attend Albion Normal College.

He married Fern Wright July 30, 1931 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple on January 4, 1951.

He taught school in southeastern Idaho for eight years after which he did custom farming in Idaho and Nevada for several years. He again taught school in Elko, Nevada before retiring to Twin Falls six years ago.

He was an active member the LDS Church, served in a Bishopric Young Peoples Organization, especially in dramatics and taught several
different classes in Sunday School.

Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Donald Davis, Rohnert Park, California; Jay Davis, Filer, Idaho; three daughters, Nancy Tews, Filer, Idaho; Sandra Harmer, Salt Lake; Joyce Sheen, Winnemucca, Nevada. Two brothers, Owen Davis, Boise; Herman Davis, San Leandro, California; two sisters, Mary Williams, Malad; Elizabeth Haney, Boise; 20 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the 6th Ward LDS Chapel in Twin Falls under the direction of White Mortuary.
