Bright, Charles J. – 18 Jul 1916

DOWNEY, Ida. – Charles John Bright, 83, of Downey, passed away Wednesday, September 8, 1999.

He was born July 18, 1916 in Downey, a son of John Parley and Ellen Caroline Anderson Bright. He was reared and educated in Downey, and later served in the Army during World War II.

Charles had worked for the Union Pacific Railroad in Idaho, and for several years had resided in California.

He is survived by his brother, Kenneth Bright and a sister-in-law, Mary Bright. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Saturday, today, September 11, at noon in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church today from 10:30 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. Burial will be in the Downey City Cemetery. Arrangements are by Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home, Arimo.
