Charles Franklin Rawlins, (1910)

RAWLINS, CHARLES FRANKLIN, June 19, 1910 – June 7, 2004

DOWNEY – Charles Franklin Rawlins, 93, of Downey, passed away June 7, 2004 in Preston, Idaho. He was born June 19, 1910 in Lewiston, Utah, a son of George Franklin and Nellie Druce Lambert Rawlins. He was raised and educated in Lewiston, and later attended USU.

He married Indra Peterson April 24, 1964 in Los Angeles, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Los Angeles LDS Temple. Mrs. Rawlins passed away in January of 1988.

Charles worked for many years with the Northrop Aircraft Co. in Los Angeles, in the construction of large planes, and was a supervisor in one of their divisions. Following retirement and the loss of his wife, he moved to Downey in 1990 to live with his sister, Althea Woodland.

He is survived by a brother, Reginald Rawlins of Cove, Utah; two sisters, Janette (Fred) Donkin of Salt Lake City, Utah, and Althea Woodland of Downey. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister, Lilly Hardman.

Funeral services will be June 11, 2004 in the Downey LDS Ward Chapel. Burial will follow in the Santaquin, Utah Cemetery.
