Cecil Lamont Harrison (Mont) 1941 ~ 2006
In the early morning of June 18, 2006 our loving son, father, grandfather and friend passed away in his sleep. He was born on December 13, 1941-one of two children to Cecil and Nola Harrison in Los Angeles, California.
He grew up in Malad, Idaho where he attended Malad High School and played on the basketball team. These were some of the most joyous days of his life. He graduated Malad High with a basketball scholarship to Weber State University. A tragic eye injury ended his basketball career.
He was married to Cindy Gardner on January 4, 1967. They had two wonderful children and were later divorced. Through the years they found their friendship again and remained so to the end.
For 35 years he owned and operated his own business, a trophy shop in the heart of Salt Lake City. He truly was the “Trophy King.” He loved the outdoors. Hunting, fishing and camping with his family were among his favorite things.
He wanted to say a very special thanks to Barbara, Peggy, Dana and the rest of the wonderful staff at Community Nursing Services for their gentle loving care.
He was preceded in death by his brother Micheal. He is survived by his parents, his son Micheal (Corina), daughter Michelle Hess (Corwin). Also survived by five grandchildren David, Mark, Amanda Draper (Landon), Scott and Cody, and one great-granddaughter Madisyn.
Memorial Services will be held at Pioneer Park in Malad, Idaho on June 30, 2006 at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of Flowers please send donations to the Huntsman Cancer Institute or Community Nursing Services. “May the peace you have found be everlasting”
