SERVICES HELD FOR CAROL ANN DARRINGTON

Funeral services were held Tuesday at the Snowville LDS ward chapel for Carol Ann Darrington, who died Feb. 7th (1959) at the family home in Snowville.

Prayers were offered by Dan Hickman, Floyd Bell and Bishop Harvey Harris. Musical numbers included prelude and postlude by Rennis Larkin; solo, Wayne Dee Bell; solo, Rulon Darrington; duet, Jay and Doyle Cutler. The speakers were Jerry Rose, Bishop Leo Bell and Barbara Larkin who gave the obituary. Interment was at the Elba Cemetery where Bishop Orville Beecher dedicated the grave. Casket bearers were Billy Heyder, Allen Lawler, Rodney Arbon and Bernell Garbanati. Flowers were carried by the grade school children under the direction of the Primary.

A daughter of Kay and Althroa Bell Darrington, Carol Ann was born Aug 27, 1951 while her parents were living at Stone. When only a few months old it was learned that the baby was suffering from cystic fibrosis. In 1955 the family moved to the neighboring community of Snowville, Utah where they are operating a garage and service station. Carol Ann completed one year of school and started the second but since November had been too ill to attend school.
