ST. JOHN, Idaho – Annie Lysle Lusk Deschamps, 85, of St. John, died Sunday, May 17, 1987, at her home of causes incident to age.

She was born March 12, 1902, in Malad, Idaho, a daughter of John Winters and Annie Eliza Thomas Lusk.

She was reared and educated in Malad and attended Malad High School.

As a young woman she played the piano for silent movies at Lubin’s Theater in Malad.

She married Francis Mitchell Deschamps on Oct 4, 1922, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Following her marriage she moved to St. John where she had since resided.

For several years she played piano in a dance band and had worked for Evans Department Store in Malad.

She was a member of the LDS Church where she served as ward organist, chorister for the MIA and Sunday School. She was secretary of the MIA, President of the Primary, counselor in the Relief Society Presidency and was a teacher in Relief Society and MIA. She was also supervisor of the MIA special interest group.

She was a member of the Arcadia Club.

Surviving are her husband of St. John; one son, Lyle Marne Deschamps, Idaho Falls; two daughters, Mrs. Ed (Yvonne) Barrus, Idaho Falls, Mrs. Terry (Paula) Morby, Loveland, Colo.; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild.

Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the St. John-1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Jerry Bush officiating.

Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, tonight from 7 to 9 and Thursday from noon until services.

Interment in the St. John Cemetery.
