Ann Morse Camp

Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, June 17, at the Pleasantview ward chapel for Mrs. Wm. P. Camp Sr., 79, who died at the family home Sunday of causes incident to old age. (14 June 1942)
The services were conducted by Bishop Thomas Thorpe.

Musical numbers consisted of the song, Make The World Brighter Today by the Pleasantview ward choir; vocal solo, by Ruel Ipsen, The Stranger of Galilee by Ruel Ipsen; a song by the choir, Sister, Thou Was’t Mild and Lovely; musical trio, Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Atkinson and Fern S. Willie and the song, Rest Thee Now From Care and Sorrow by the choir.

Speakers were D. P. Wodland, Elder Elbert E. Bowen of the council of twelve; J. M. Isaacson, Lewis Williams and S. A. Hendricks. A sketch of the life of Mrs. Camp was given by her grandson, Wendell D. Camp; invocation by Bishop Daniel Price and benediction by W. H. Richards Jr.

Internment was at the Pleasantview cemetery with W. E. Morse dedicating the grave.

Mrs. Camp was born August 9, 1862 at Mountain Ash, South Wales the daughter of William Morse and Margaret Evans Morse. She came to America with her parents when she was a child and was married to William P. Camp at Salt Lake City Endowment house on March 6, 1879. Mrs. Camp has resided in Malad valley since that time.

She is survived by her husband; the following children: William P. Camp Jr., Margaret C. Peterson, Alvin M. Camp, Deseret C. Moon, all of Malad City; Amelia C. Hunsaker of McGill, Nevada; five sisters: Mary Jane Jones, Emma Price, Margaret Jones of Malad; Sarah Williams of Boise;Sophia Anderson of Etna, Wyo., and one brother, W. E. orse of Samaria.
