Virgil Camp dies following surgery

Albert Virgil Camp, 75, died Monday, January 28, (1980) in a Provo Hospital following surgery.

He was born at Pleasant View May 2, 1904, to Williams P. and Violet Draper Camp. He was educated in Idaho schools and graduated from Albion Normal School in 1925. He married Bernetta Robbins April 1, 1927, in the Logan LDS Temple. He taught school in Bingham County and served as principal in the Blackfoot School District. He later gave up teaching due to health problems and later worked for the Internal Revenue Service in Pocatello, where he and his wife lived for many years. They moved to Provo in 1950, where he worked for automotive firms.

Survivors include his wife; four children, Virgil Hugh Camp, Salt Lake City; Mrs. Earl (Marcene) Jardine, Oxnard, Calif.; Mrs. David (Jan) Noyes, Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Gerald (Jennifer) Beagley, Las Vegas, Nev.; 18 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and seven brothers and sisters, including Wendell D. Camp, Idaho Falls, and Mrs. Anthony F. (Fern) Cuoio, Pocatello.

Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon, February 1, in the Provo 13th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Berg Mortuary at Provo from 6-8 p.m.

Burial will be in Wasatch Memorial Gardens in Salt Lake City.
