Ann Evans Nelson 84m 395 N. Main, Malad, died Wednesday at West Valley City, Utah of cancer.
Funeral arrangements were held Monday for Ann Evans Nelson, 84, in Malad. She was born July 15, 1898 in Malad, a daughter of William J. and Eliza Adams Evans. She married Raymond A. Nelson on June 20, 1923, in Logan. He died Dec. 30, 1960.
After her marriage she moved to Weston. In 1961, after the death of her husband, she lived with a son in Malad and later lived with a daughter in Magna, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church and had served as a counselor in the Relief Society, a visiting teacher, and a Primary worker.
Surviving are one son, Sheldon R. Nelson, Malad; two daughters, Mrs. DeMar (Edith) Smart, Magna; Mrs. Ronald (Betty) Mason, Spokane, Wash.; nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two brothers, Lynn A. Evans, Pocatello, Idaho and Dale A. Evans, Malad; two sisters, Mrs. Herbert (LaVena) Bowles, Pocatello, and Mrs. George (Mary) Lewis, Downey, Idaho.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad.
