Ada Jayne Hughes Davis, 72, of Malad, died Wednesday, October 25, (1989) in Bannock Regional Medical Center.

She was born December 23, 1917, in Malad to Jacob and Ellen Thorpe Hughes. She was reared and educated here.

She married Lester M. Davis Oc¬tober 31, 1933 in St. John. They farmed in the Malad Valley. He died July 13, 1952.

She worked in Ogden and Logan, Utah, and in Malad and Idaho Falls at various jobs.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and volunteered at the Senior Citizens’ Center.

She is survived by one son, L. Niah Davis, and three daughters, Mrs. George (JoAnne) Parson and Mrs. Betty Kay Gardner, all of Malad, and Mrs. Ned (Connie) Baker, Holbrook; 15 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren, and one sister, Lorraine Eskelson, North Glen, Colorado. She was preceded in death by a grandson, one brother and a sister.

Funeral services were Saturday at noon at Benson-Horsley Funeral Home with Bishop Frank Gunnell officiating. Burial was in the Pleasantview Cemetery.
