Aileen T. Thorpe, 17 March 1921

ROY – Aileen T. Thorpe, 60, of Roy, Utah, died December 25, 1981 at her home.

She was born March 17, 1921 in St. John, ID, a daughter of James and Leona Olsen Thomas.

She married Clem Thorpe on September 18, 1938 in Malad, ID.

She was a packer for the Defense Depot Ogden.

She had lived in St. John, ID, Washington Terrace and in Roy the past 27 years. She was educated in Malad schools. She was a member of the Roy 1st LDS Ward. She had taught in the Sunday School and was a Relief Society visiting teacher.

Surviving are her husband of Roy; three sons and two daughters, James T. Thorpe, Roy; Clem DeLayne Thorpe, Syracuse; Mark C. Thorpe, Clearfield; Mrs. Melvin (Jeanine) Fowers, Roy; Mrs. Gail (Leona) Kelley, Plain City; 14 grandchildren; her father of Malad, and one brother, Harvey J. Thomas, Rose Mead, CA.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Lindquist and Sons Colonia Chapel with Bishop David W. Broadbent of the Roy 1st Ward officiating.

Interment in the Malad City Cemetery.
