Rick Smith dies May 18th

Rick Elliot Smith, 25, Died Wednesday, May 18, near McCammon in an auto accident. He was born to Elliot W. and LaRue Nelson Smith on July 18, 1957. He married Janet Waite in Lake Tahoe, California on July 11, 1980.

He graduated from Preston High School. He liked to fish and hunt. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and had lived in the McCammon area for the past 18 months.

Survivors include his wife, McCammon; his parents, Riverdale; a brother, Terry W., Pocatello; two sisters, Mrs. William (Lynnette) Mockli, Kirkland, Wash., and Mrs. Bruce (Marla) Jensen, Mink Creek; grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Nelson, Preston.

Funeral services were held Friday at the Preston North Stake Center with Bishop Jean Smith officiating. Burial was in the Riverdale Cemetery.
