Bernice Allen Rowe dies October 7 [1983]
Bernice Allen Rowe, 56, died Friday, October 7, at the University of Utah Medical Center following an illness. She was born to Lewis George and Claribell Glover Allen at Hawkins Basin on June 18, 1927. She went to grade school in Hawkins Basin and graduated from Arimo High School. On October 10, 1944 she married Zane Rowe in Pocatello. For many years she was a resident of McCammon and was employed by the Farmers Insurance Group for 15 years.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a Relief Society visiting teacher, a Primary teacher and a Cub Scout Den Mother. She enjoyed painting, traveling, writing poetry and handiwork.
Survivors include her husband, of McCammon; her mother, Clara Allen, Pocatello; three sons, Ron Rowe, Arimo; Shane Rowe, McCammon; and Bret Rowe, Inkom; a daughter, Mrs. Allan (Pam) Ranstrom Boise; two brothers, Clayton Allen, Blackfoot, and Darrell Allen, McCammon; three sisters, Mrs. Alva (Louise) Egan, March Center; Mrs. Arlene Lusk, Fort Hall, and Mrs. Darrell (Claudine) Wharton, Pocatello, and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Monday, October 10, at the McCammon LDS Stake Center with Bishop Bert W. Marley of the McCammon Second Ward officiating. Burial was in the Restlawn Memorial Gardens.
