HYRUM DEWAYNE ROMRELL

FUNERAL MONDAY FOR HYRUM DeWAYNE ROMRELL

Hyrum DeWayne Romrell, 18, died Friday afternoon [February 19, 1960] in the Oneida Hospital of uremia.

Born June 1, 1941, in Rexburg to Hyrum B. and Mary Webster Romrell, he was a Malad high school student and had attended schools at St. Anthony, Meridian and Grace. He was a priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include, in addition to his parents, grandparents, two brothers and four sisters. The grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Fred Romrell, Wilford; great grandmother, Mrs. Mary Jane Webster, Rexburg; and Mrs. Elmo Webster, Rexburg. His brothers are DeMar Romrell, Montpelier, and Gary Romrell, Malad. Sisters are Mrs. William Cramer, Pocatello; Mrs. William Colton, Jr., Malad, and Eva Lou and Linda Romrell, both of Malad.

Funeral services were held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Malad First Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Howard Neal officiating.

Family prayer was offered by DeMar Romrell. At the chapel, prelude and postlude music was played by Fern Stewart. Speakers were Herman Miller; Jr., who also read the obituary, Bishop Heber E. Wynn and Bishop Neal. Prayers were offered by Bert O. Marble and DyWyane John. Vocal duets were sung by Connie Dives and Lois Call and Diane Facer and Ilene Reynolds, accompanied by Mary Louise Peden and Arline Bjorkman.

Casket bearers were members of the First ward Priesthood quorum and flowers were carried by the First Ward Relief Society.

Burial was in Rexburg.

The dedicatory prayer was offered by Elmo Webster.
