Urania Nelson Redmond, 23 February 1916

SALT LAKE – Urania Nelson Redmond, age 87, died April 14, 2003 in Salt lake City.

She was born February 23, 1916 in Thatcher, Box Elder County, to Asa Cutler and Mary Lucilla Layton Nelson. She married Walt M. Redmond October 19, 1941 in Malad, ID and they were later solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple. He died August 19, 1988.

She was an avid gardener, quilter, cook and active in the LD Church.

She is survived by six children: Jean (Jerry) Musselman, Billings, MO; Nancy (Lloyd) Miles, Mt. Home, UT; Dan (Vangie) Redmond, N. Salt Lake; Pat (Ron) Fresco, Anaheim, CA; Max (Pamela) Redmond, Bridgeland; Beth Redmond, San Jose, CA; 16 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; brother, sisters, Clint (Ramelda) Nelson, Vernal; Emma (Edward) Fox, Salt Lake; Gwen Burton, Tremonton.

She was preceded in death by a grandson, great grandson and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral service was held April 17, 2003 at the Bridgeland LDS Church. Interment, Roosevelt Memorial Park.
