Daniel O. Daniels died Aug, 9, funeral Thurs.

Daniel Owens Daniels, age 87, of Malad, passed away Monday, Aug. 9, (1976) in the Oneida County Hospital of natural causes. He was born Jan. 1, 1989 (1889) in Malad to Daniel M. and Catherine Owens Daniels. He married Annie Price, May 25, 1915 in Malad. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple, April 16, 1965.

Mr. Daniels has been active in farming and ranching. He was a member of the Idaho Cattlemen’s Association and the St. John Cattlemen’s Association.

He was Oneida County Commissioner for six years, and chairman and member of the Committee for Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation in Oneida County from 1945-1958. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife of Malad; one son: Daniel Max, of Boise; two daughters: Mrs. Raymond. H. (Trilva) Jones of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. Lyle (Ruth) Hess of Malad; 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are one brother: Russel O., of Malad; four sisters: Mrs. Stephen (Kate) Stayner of Malad, Mrs. G.T. (Lenna) Hone, Ogden, Mrs. David L. (Lona) Bush, Boise, and Mrs. Arnold (Pearl) Thomas of Downey, Calif.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Aug. 12, at 11 a.m. in the Malad LDS 1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Myron Jones offici¬ating.

Friends may call at Benson Funeral Home, Wednesday even¬ing and Thursday prior to ser¬vice. Arrangements were by Benson Funeral Home.
