MALAD — Annie LaRue Jorgensen Daniels, 84, of 86 West, 400 North, died Friday (03 June 1988) in the Oneida County Nursing Home.

She was born June 19, 1903, in Fairview, Utah, daughter of Joseph Emanuel and Clara A. Carlston Jorgensen. She grew up and was educated in Salt Lake City and was a graduate from the LDS Academy High School. She later received her teaching degree at Idaho State College.

At 17 she began teaching and taught in Downey, St. John, Malad, and East Daniels schools.

She married Russel O. Daniels May 25, 1925 in Ogden, Utah. The marriage was solemnized two years later in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many ward and stake organizations. She served two years as president of the Legislative Ladies of Idaho Legislature, president of War Mothers and in the PTA.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, Dale R. Daniels, and Joseph J. Daniels, and one daughter, Mrs. William W. (Helen) Price, all of Malad; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Robert J. Blaisdell, Alameda, Calif.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at noon in the Malad LDS Third Ward Chapel with Bishop Marvin Hess officiating. Friends may call Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home in Malad. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
