
Daniel ‘Dan’ Luther Daniels
January 18, 1933 – October 9, 2014
Daniel Luther Daniels, 81 , passed away on October 9, 2014 in Blackfoot, Idaho, following a year-long battle with poor health. Dan was born and raised in Malad, Idaho, a son of Luther Owens and Ida Elizabeth Ward Daniels. He married his high school sweetheart, Betty Jones on December 7, 1951 in Malad. He and Betty moved to Ogden where Dan worked at Swift. He later worked for Consolidated Freight for 24 years. Dan and Betty both retired in 199-5 and together they began many enjoy able adventures traveling the world. Betty and Dan shared many wonderful and happy years together.
Dan served in the Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the
Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Dan always put his family first and made time for his family. He loved attending any event or activity his family was involved in. He played a major role in the lives of his children, grandchildren and great-grand children and his special legacy will continue on for many generations. He loved sports and enjoyed watching and attending sporting events. He especially loved to watch his grandchildren play sports.
Dan is survived by his wife, Betty of 62 years; children , Jeff (Marsha) Daniels of Blackfoot, Tyler (Amy) Daniels of Boise, Teresa (Hugh) Shaull of Eden; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; his sister. Lola Evans of Boise and brother, Jess Daniels of Penrose . UT.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Kay and Annie and a brother, Eldon.
Funeral services were
held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 14, 2014 at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd. A viewing was held.
Interment was in Evergreen Memorial Park . 100 Monroe Blvd .
