FUNERAL RITES AT BRIGHAM WEDNESDAY FOR EVAN MORSE
Funeral services for Evan Morse, 43, of Brigham City, who died March 28, 1949 in an Ogden hospital of a heart attack, are being held at Brigham City today.
He was born March 23, 1906, in Samaria, Idaho, son of Evan and Agnes Clarkston Morse. He lived in Samaria until 1924 when he moved to Holbrook, Idaho for a short period. Afterward he lived in Stone, Idaho and came to Tremonton in 1944, in February of 1949 transferring to Brigham City.
In Idaho he followed farming, in Tremonton operated a milk route and at Brigham was proprietor of the Morse grocery.
He married Clara Nelly Steed on Nov. 18, 1931 in Ogden.
He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and held rank of elder.
Survivors include his widow and the following sons and daughters; Ted E. Devon, Joe Gale, Carol, Sharon, Ronny and Vicki Lynn Morse, Brigham City; also the following brothers and sisters: Joseph and Richard Morse, Fresno, Calif.; Mrs. Esther Moon, Sterling, Idaho; Mrs. Alice hess, Fielding, Box Elder County, and Mrs. Elsie Arnn, Ruth, Nevada.
