Marvin Ray Jensen, 28 February 1925

Marvin Ray Jensen, 70, of Pocatello, died January 16, 1996 at his home.

He as born February 28, 1925 in Malad, ID, a son of Leo Tarloff and Hazel Brooks Rose Jensen. He grew up and was educated in Pocatello Valley and Malad. During World War Ii he served in the Navy and was stationed in the South Pacific.

After the war he married Margaret Hielman May 8, 1948 in Pasco, WA and they later divorced. He married Connie D. King Sept. 3, 1971 in Salmon, ID.

Mr. Jensen had worked in heavy construction for many years. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Survivors include his wife, Connie, of Pocatello; three sons and spouses, Thomas Leonard Jensen of Salem, OR; Ra Don and Berniece Jensen of Tampa. FA; Craig Edwin and Sheila Palmer of Pocatello; three daughters, Christie Kay and Douglas Moberly of Clatskanie, OR; Deborah Lyn and Leroy Miers of Pocatello and Sherri Lei and Johnny Guerrero of Pocatello; one brother, Leo Kay Dell Jensen of Salt Lake City; three sisters, Var C and David Roberts of Lewiston, UT; Glenna D. Illum of Malad and Rolene and Neal Gleed of Malad; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Carl Wayne, his father, mother and step father.

Funeral services with military rites by the Malad American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post No. 65 were held Friday, with burial in the Malad City Cemetery.
