FACER, J. RALPH, August 1, 1911 – September 25, 1968
Funeral services will be held Saturday for J. Ralph Facer, age 57, who died Wednesday morning of a heart ailment. Bishop Gordon Crowther will conduct the service at Malad Second LDS Ward Chapel.
A life long resident of Malad, Mr. Facer had been a member of Malad Volunteer Fire Department for many years. He was an ardent sportsman and a member of Oneida Rod and Gun Club and of Malad Eagles Lodge. He operated Facer Garage here.
Mr. Facer was born August 1, 1911 at Samaria, a son of Joseph B. and Myrtle Thorpe Facer. He was educated in Samaria and Malad schools. He worked for a time at McCammon and returned to Malad where he was employed by Frank Metcalf for several years.
He married Vesta Christensen December 16, 1933 at Malad, and the marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple. He was an Elder in the LDS Church.
Surviving are his widow; Malad; a daughter, Diane Hill, Vietnam; a son, Timothy Ralph, who is a senior at Idaho State University, Pocatello; his mother, Tyhee; a sister and brothers, Mrs. Dee (Pearl) Williams, Malad; George M. Tyhee; Cleon, Idaho Falls; Grant, LaFayette, CA; Clarence, Urbana, IL; Robert, Livermore, CA.
