EVANS, LAWRENCE S.

Funeral services for Lawrence S. Evans, 49, who died at a Pocatello hospital March 15, 1952 were held in the Malad LDS First Ward at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday with the Malad Third Ward Bishopric in charge.

The former Malad man died of a cerebral hemorrhage sustained when he fell from a walkway in the Center Street subway at Pocatello. He was taken to the hospital by a cab driver but never regained consciousness.

Mr. Evans was born at Malad, December 6, 1902, a son of Edward E. and Hephzibah Stubbs Evans. He attended the local schools, graduating from the Malad High School, and spent his early life in Malad. He was married to Isabelle Caldwell, also of Malad, June 1, 1932. In 1944, Mr. Evans moved with his family to Pocatello, where he has since been employed by the Union Pacific Railroad Co., and for the past year by the U.S. Naval Ordinance Plant at Pocatello.

Survivors include his wife and two daughters, Valoy, and Bonnie, lava Hot Springs, Idaho; a sister, Mrs. Hyrum Lewis, Blackfoot; two brothers, Edward S. Evans, Inkom, Idaho; Floyd S. Evans, Pocatello.
