Glade Albert Evans obit

Glade Albert Evans, 10 July 1933

ROSEVILLE, CA – Glade Albert Evans, born July 10, 1933 in Downey, ID, current resident of Rocklin, CA, passed away after a brief illness in Roseville, CA on June 1, 2002.

Glade was the loving son of John O. and Gladys Evans of Malad, ID and husband of Janet Gomes Evans, Rocklin, CA.

Glade loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and shared that love with his sons and grandchildren. Only days before his death he had returned from a fishing trip to British Columbia with his sons, an adventure that he had looked forward to for years.

His proclivity for tinkering led to some interesting fix-it adventures. His long-standing love for the game of golf notwithstanding, he admitted to the end that he never got the best of that game.

Glade is survived by his wife, Janet, Rocklin, CA; his children: Scott, Wildwood, IL; Bruce (Laura), Longview, TX; stepchildren: Julie Hendershott, Seattle, WA; Curt (Korbi) Gomes, Roseville, CA; grandchildren: Jeff (Scott); Erica and Katie (Bruce); Brad (Julie), Brianna, Kara and Nicole (Curt); brothers and sisters: Merrill (GenaLee), Larry (Karen), Carolyn (Milton), Norman (Sally), Dean (Mary), Jack (Risee), Judy (Reed), Sam and Kathy (Wayne).

Glade was preceded in death by his first wife, Joan, his father, John O. Evans and his sister, Lucille Evans.

The legacy of Glade Albert Evans is the honor and integrity that he displayed in his life, and that which he taught his children. The love and caring that he shared with all who crossed his path will live on in the lives that he touched. For those of us that knew and loved him, we can only be thankful for the experience.

Memorial services were held in Malad, following the funeral service of his mother, Gladys Evans.
