Zola Jean Marler Parris

Zola Jean Marler Parris December 13, 1928 – August 29, 2015, Zola Jean Marler Parris, 86, passed away peacefully at home in Downey, Idaho, on August 29, 2015, from complications of Alzheimer’s Disease. Zola was born December 13, 1928, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Thomas Adrian and Other Jenett McKinley Marler. She married Deryl Gene Parris on July 9, 1955. They were sealed for time and all eternity at the Idaho Falls Temple on January 31, 1964. She is survived by her husband, children Deborah Parris Reilly of Downey, Coleen (Loren) Nelson of Boise, Zane (Dawna) Parris of Pocatello, and Zachary (Tami) Parris of Pocatello; nine grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two sisters Phyllis Haskett and Shirlene Long. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Don Marler, Dan Marler, Vola Eldredge, Letha Coates and Leanne Jensen. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 3, at the LDS Virginia Ward in Downey, Idaho. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. prior to the services. Interment will follow at Marsh Center Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Horsley Funeral Home. Luncheon will be served at the church following interment.
