Funeral services were held Wednesday at the stake tabernacle for Wm. H. Nicholas, 79, who died at his home in St. John on Sunday, Sept. 22 following a stroke.
Bishop Harold Jones presided at the services at which speakers were Dr. Thomas W. Richards, J. D. Price, E. E. Richards and Bishop Jones. Musical numbers were given by the St. John quartet and Mrs. Margaret E. Jones. Invocation was by Arch Harris and benediction by Bishop Rudolph Ruegsegger.
Interment was in the St. John cemetery with J. Guy Benson dedicating the grave.

Marlowe of Idaho Falls, Miss Martha Nicholas of Nampa, Frank Sawyer of Boise, Mrs. Lydia Merrill of Ogden, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Empey of Burley, John W. Evans of Seattle, Miss Daisy Evans of Pocatello, Mrs. Esther Mau and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Mau of Cokeville, Wyo., Mr. and Mrs. Edward ill and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Archibald Jr. of Pocatello, Mrs. Art Larson of Logan and Theras Lewis of Boise.
Williams Henry Nicholas was born at Brigham City, Utah, on October 21, 1861, the son of John and Mary Ann Nicholas. He moved with hi parents to Malad when he was five years of age. When a young man he worked on the Oregon Short Line R.R. and freighted from Corinne to Montana. He was married to Margaret Evans at Malad City on February 20, 1895. To this union were born four children, all of whom survive.
Since the year 1895 Mr. Nicholas has been engaged in farming and stockraising and for about fifteen years f this time was also a merchant and postmaster in the Elkhorn district.
He is survived by his wife and the following children: Mrs. Edgar Hanson of Los Angeles, Calif;, Dewey Nicholas of Malad City, Mrs. C.A. Marlowe of Idaho Falls, and Kenneth Nicholas of Los Angeles. Ten grandchildren and two sisters also survive: Mrs. Emma Sawyer of Malad and Miss Martha Nicholas of Nampa
