PRICE, WILLIAM WILLIAMS, April 6, 1923 – February 12, 2006

William Williams “Bill” Price, 83, of Malad, passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2006 in Malad of heart failure.

He was born April 6, 1923 in Samaria, Idaho, one of 13 children, born to John Morse and Ruth Williams Price. He was raised and educated in Samaria and as a young man worked in various jobs there. Bill went to California during WWII, where he was a welder in the shipyards.

He returned to Malad and married Helen Daniels, August 7, 1948. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Bill and Helen had lived in Oregon and California for short time and returned to Malad. He worked for Thiokol Corp. and the Simplot Co. for many years as a welder and in fabrication. Bill was an excellent blacksmith and had shoed horses for many of the area ranchers through the years as well as doing welding and machine repairing.

He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing and traveling with Helen. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where he had served in various calling, including ward clerk for several years.

He is survived by his wife of Malad; two sons: Rodger of Malad; John (Brenda) Price of Fruit Heights, Utah; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Price of Logan, Utah; eight grandchildren; one brother: Jerry (Donna) Price of Salt lake City, Utah; four sisters: Mary Behunin of Provo, Utah; Alta Knudsen of Portage, Utah; Ann Griffiths of San Diego, California; Patsy (Khalil) Scott of Pleasantview, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents: a son, Russell Price; two brothers: Kleo and John; five sisters: Ruth, Verda, Pearl, Lucille, Faye; and one grandson, Danny Price.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Malad LDS 3rd Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home on Wednesday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Thursday prior to the service from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
