PRICE, VELLA, February 13, 1918 – July 3, 2006

OGDEN – Vella Huntsman Price, 88, died Monday, July 3, 2006 at her home in Ogden. She was born February 13, 1918 in Samaria Idaho, a daughter of James Franklin and Emma Reese Huntsman.

On July 11, 1939 Vella Married William H. Price in Samaria, Idaho. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden LDS Temple. Williams preceded her in death on July 1, 1998.

She lived in Samaria, Idaho, Tacoma, Washington; Albany, Oregon and in the Ogden area.

Vella was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she was very active in Primary, Relief Society and Sunday School.

Vella touched the lives of many people through her caring and sincere ways. She enjoyed cooking, children, and most of all, spending time with her family. They always came first in her life.

Surviving are her children, Sonja (John) Stoney, Ogden; David (Sharon) Price, Caldwell, ID; Susan Such, Riverdale; William Price, Clearfield; Tim (Josie) Price, Ogden; 21 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Preceding Vella in death were her husband, parents, three sisters, four brothers, one grandson and one granddaughter.

Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 p.m. at Lindquist’s North Ogden Mortuary. Friends may call at the mortuary on Thursday from 6-8 p.m. and Friday 11:45 – 12:45. Interment, Evergreen Memorial Park.
