EVANS, WILLIAM W., April 4, 1920 – March 5, 1979

William W. (Bill) Evans, 58, of Brigham City, died March 5, 1979 at the Veteran’s Hospital in Salt Lake City of a stroke.

He was born April 4, 1920 in Samaria, son of John E. and Phoebe Thomas Evans.  He was educated in the Malad schools.  He married Katie Waldron August 24, 1937 in Malad.  He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the Pacific Theatre.

Survivors include his widow of Brigham City, one son, Ronnie Evans of Brigham City; two brothers, John E. (Bud) Evans and Donald Hughes, both of Malad; two sisters, Bernice Aldous, Pocatello; and Delta Bertram, Rosemead, CA; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. in the Benson Funeral Home.
