William Thomas Parry

PERRY, WILLIAM THOMAS, January 16, 1927 – October 26, 2008

RIVERDALE – William Thomas Parry, 81, beloved father, grandfather and great grandfather, passed away October 26, 2008. Although we are saddened at his passing, we are grateful his suffering is over and that he is now reunited with our mother, Delene.

Bill was born January 16, 1927 in Malad, Idaho, to Paul and Mary Mildred Parry. He graduated from Malad High School where he participated in track, football and basketball. He was inducted into the Army in 1945, serving with the occupational forces in Italy, and was honorably discharged in 1947.

He married Eunice Delene Harris August 12, 1947 in Malad, ID. The marriage was later solemnized in the LDS Logan Temple. She preceded him in death on June 9, 1985. He later married Rowena R. Ruth on November 22, 1986.

Bill graduated from USU and worked at Hill AFB, retiring in 1990. Bill lived in Ogden for thirty years, serving in scouting and as financial clerk in the Ogden 71st Ward. He later moved to Riverdale where he was a member of the Riverdale 7th Ward. Bill will always be remembered for his quiet support of his children. He was more at home in turning a wrench than in pushing a pencil.

Bill is survived by his second wife, Rowena,; one daughter and three sons; Suzanne (A. Lynn) Francis, Marysville, WA; Morgan W. (Janet) Parry MD, Las Vegas, NV; Vernon R. Parry, Ogden, Fred H. (Diane) Parry, Syracuse; 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Bill is also survived by one brother; Jack (Lois) Parry, Idaho Falls, ID and one sister Barbara (Bud) Olsen, Downey, ID.

Preceded in death by one brother, Warren parry and one sister LaDean (Forrest) Dixon.

Funeral services will be held November 1, 2008 at Myers Mortuary, Ogden. Burial will be in the Portage Cemetery.
