William Jenkin Williams

William Jenkin Williams, 76, longtime Idaho Falls resident, died February 13, 1990, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center of heart failure.
He was born October 5, 1913, at Logan, Utah to Howell Mifflin and Annie Hansen Williams. He attended school at Garland, Utah, and graduated from Malad High School. He also attended Albion State Normal School.
On July 4, 1936, he married Dorothy Thomas. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple.
He had been an educator, salesman, ticket agent for Greyhound Bus Company, and bookkeeper and office manager for American Plumbing. He lived in Idaho Falls for 50 years.
He was an active member of the LDS Church, and served in the bishopric and stake High Council. He was a temple worker and was Bicentennial chairman.
He was a member of the 20-30 Club, director of the Junior Softball program, was a basketball and football official, and chairman of the Idaho Falls Senior Golf Association.
Survivors include his wife of Idaho Falls; two sons, William J. Williams of Livermore, California, and Michael D. Williams of Idaho Falls; brothers and sister, H. Mifflin Williams of Ogden, Utah, Marguerite Clarke of Coquille Oregon and Cordell Williams of Malad, 12 grandchildren; and two great-grand-children. He was preceded in death by one son.
Funeral services were held Saturday February 17 in the Idaho Falls LDS 4th Ward with Bishop Verlin Searle officiating. Burial was in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery
