William Frank Hill

HILL, WILLIAM FRANK, December 2, 1919 – September 14, 2004

William Frank Hill, 84, longtime Holbrook resident, passed away on September 14, 2004 in Holbrook from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He was born December 2, 1919 in Stone, Idaho, a son of William Martin and Ruth Abigail Hill. Frank grew up in Holbrook and later served an LDS Mission to California. He then entered the Armed Forces and served in the European Theater during World War II.

Frank married Iris Nielsen on October 7, 1949 in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They made their home in Holbrook where Frank farmed and ranched. Iris passed away April 3, 1996. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he served in various callings through the years.

He is survived by four children: Rebecca (Steven) Hunsaker, Tremonton, Utah; Nord (Nancy) Hill, Blackfoot, Idaho; Cyril (Peggy) Hill, Carey, Idaho; Lara (Royce) Barfuss, Rupert, Idaho; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; one sister: Ruby Mackay, Salt Lake City, Utah; brothers: Chester Hill, Salt Lake City; Don Hill, Holbrook; Cecil (Margaret) Hill, Hurricane, UT; Aaron (Erma) Hill, Holbrook; Lyle (Marilyn) Hill, Smithfield, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Iris.

Funeral services were held September 18 at the Holbrook LDS Church. Burial was in the Holbrook Cemetery with military rites performed by the American Legion, Ernest W. Jones Post #65.
