Wanda S. Goddard, 86, of Malad City, Idaho, passed away Tuesday, February 29, 2000, at her home in Malad.
She was born August 8, 1913, in Arbon Valley, Idaho, a daughter of Oscar Julius and Isabella Andrews Swenson. She was raised in Arbon Valley, where she attended grade school. She later attended school in Malad.
She married Don E. Goddard on January 2, 1937, in Malad.
Wanda was a member of the LDS church, where she served as Sunday School secretary for many years. She was one of the first bowlers in Malad, and was inducted into the Bowlers Hall of fame. She was a member of the Care-Free Club as well as a member of the Eagles auxiliary and American Legion Auxiliary. Her family was the center of her life, and she loved doing things for them.
She is survived by her loving husband, Don, Malad; one daughter, Carla Dawn Williams, Malad; three grandchildren, Don Williams, Derk Williams and Megen Williams; one great-grand-daughter, Taylar Dawn Williams; and one sister, Valoy Wickam, Renton, Washington.
She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Royal Swenson, Bartel Swenson and Vadel Swenson, and Three sisters, Gladys Clark, Venice Davis and Shirlee Jones.
Funeral services were held Thursday, March 2, 2000. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
