Vonda Rae Lish Gibson

GIBSON, VONDA RAE LISH

Vonda Rae Lish Gibson, 36, McCammon, died December 15,1979 at her home of cancer.

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Arimo LDS Stake hapel with Bishop Wayne Morris officiating.

She was born December 26, 1942 in Pocatello to Sheldon and Estella Mae Smith Lish. She married Dick Henderson Gibson on March 6, 1959 in Pocatello. The marriage was solemnized April 8, 1960 in the Logan LDS Temple.

She attended schools inMcCammon and Inkom as well as Marsh Valley High School. She studied at the Idaho State University School of Vocational Technical Education in upholstery, and trained for an received a certificate as a home nurse.

She was a member of the LDS Church and served as a Relief Society work director and as a teacher in various other church organizations. She enjoyed handiwork and crafts and was an excellent seamstress and cook. She was also talented in interior decorating.

She is survived by her husband of McCammon; one son and two daughters: Blaine Willis Gibson, McCammon; Mrs. Blair (Vonda Rae)Wakley, Downey; and Janet Estella Gibson, McCammon; her father, Sheldon (Jack) Lish, Pocatello; a grandson, Beau Wakley; four brothers and two sisters: William S., Arimo; D. Lynn and larry, McCammon; Roland E., Pocatello; Mrs. Richard (Freda) Bendorf, Omaha, NB; and Mrs. Mac (Reva Lee) Anderson, Jackson, Miss.
