Virginia Cleo Norris

Virginia Cleo Norris: December 5, 1938 – February 18, 2022

On February 18, 2022, Virginia passed peacefully in her sleep with a beloved close friend holding her hand, from age related illnesses. Our beloved cousin lived a wonderful full life, I feel truly blessed to have known her!

Virginia was born December 5, 1938, in Humboldt, California. She attended Downey High School in Modesto, Calif. She was a lifelong learner, May 2020 telling me she was returning Portgause [Portuguese?} media to the library just before COVID restrictions.

Virginia was a devout member of the Jehovah Witness faith. January 7 she messaged, “I have letters to write tomorrow about the benefits of God’s Kingdom, so many need to have a hope for future days.”

Preceded in death are her parents Walter Norris & Hannah Mae Kent, Grandparents: Thomas & Nettie Norris, Grandparents: Jesse James & Flossie Elvira Kent, aunts & uncles: David, Dawn, Leona (Jorgensen), Elva (Hamilton) & Nacey Kent. She is survived by MANY cousins; first, second & third generations.

There will be a Zoom funeral to take place in the future. Please contact Tami Perkins by email at tamijsmith875@gmail.com for information.

As the free spirit that Virginia is, she will not be buried but will have her ashes scattered on the beaches in California to carry forth with whomever picks her up, to see the places she didn’t see in life.
