Verlo W. Rose, age 60, died at Blackfoot

Verlo W. Rose, age 60, Blackfoot, died Dec. 31st [1975] at Bingham Memorial Hospital in Blackfoot of a heart attack.

Mr. Rose was born Sept. 29, 1914, at Malad, a son of Lehi and Violet M. Hansen Rose. He was reared and educated here and married Leah Hess, May 2, 1938, at American Falls. They lived in Malad until 1965 when they moved to Blackfoot. He farmed at Ross Creek Fork east of Fort Hall. Mr. Rose was an elder in the LDS Church.

Surviving are his widow, four daughters and a son, Mrs. Leon (Verla Rae) Monson, Mrs. Mack (Janice) Evans, J. Verlo Rose, all of Blackfoot; Mrs. Brent (Myrna) Williams, Granger, Ut.; Mrs. Thomas (Sherilyn) Bird, Idaho Falls; 15 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; three brothers, Irvin L.; Malad; Dewaine, Ketchum; Lavor, Brigham City, Utah; six sisters, Mrs. Ed (Beneta) Smith, Soda Springs; Mrs. Alonzo (Lucille) Sorenson, Hyrum, Utah; Mrs. Merlyn (Ethel) Jackson, Mrs. Donna Abbott, Tremonton; Mrs. Donald (Floy) Linderman, Ogden; Mrs. Maurine Scott, Long Beach, Cal.

Funeral was conducted at Blackfoot and burial was in the Rockland Cemetery.
