ROBERTS, VarC’ JENSEN, June 23, 1923 – October 15, 2006

VarC’ Jensen Roberts, 85, longtime Malad resident, passed away Sunday, October 15, 2006 from kidney failure due to years of diabetes.

VarC’ was born June 23, 1923 in Hyrum, Utah, the oldest daughter of Leo Tellof and Hazel Brooks Rose Jensen. She was raised and educated in the Pocatello Valley and Malad.

She married Thomas Vernon Roberts, August 9, 1942 in Malad, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple on August 6, 1965. Vernon passed away September 15, 1986.

She then married David F. Roberts, September 21, 1990. He died December 24, 2003.

VarC’ was employed at the Oneida County Hospital as a Dietary Aid for 18 years. She loved spending time with her family and especially enjoyed vacations with them.

VarC’ is survived by children: Vernona (Lynn) Pace of West Valley City, Utah; Marlene (Perry) Bailey of Wibaux, Montana; Daryl (Judy) Roberts of West Valley City, Utah; Gayle Ann (Tom) Swan of Jackson, Wyoming; 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; her sisters: Glenna Illum and Rolene Gleed, both of Malad.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; brothers: Marvin Jensen and Kaydel Jensen; 2 grandchildren and her step-father T. Roland Jones.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 20, 2006 at 12 noon in the Malad LDS 5th Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the Horsley Funeral Home Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. and on Friday at the funeral home from 10:30 – 11:30 a.m. Burial will follow in the Malad City Cemetery.
