Uriah Grant Evans

Uriah Grant Evans passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded with love by his daughter Debbie Kim Mosley and Robert E. Mosley, March 29, 2021, at the age of 90. He was born January 9th, 1931 in Malad City, Idaho. He is the son of David E. Evans and Harriet Ireta Denning. He had two brothers named David Stanley Evans and Ludell David Evans. He graduated from Ogden High School in 1949 and attended Weber College where he met his wife and moved to California. He was married & sealed to his eternal companion Gloria June Roe Evans in the Los Angeles Temple, who died in June 1998. He was a devoted son, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

Grant had three children. His youngest son Michael Grant Evans passed away in 2008. He is survived by his two daughters June Christie Evans and Debbie Kim Evans Mosley. He has 9 grandchildren by the names of Nathan Eric Davy, Jared Uriah Dandie, Krista Ryan Manne, Arin Nicole Love, William Preston Hytinen, Michael Allen Evans, Sheila Renee Evans, Debra Christine Evans, and Austin Grant Evans, and 16 great grandchildren.

Grant grew up on a ranch in Malad Idaho and headed to California in his early 20’s where he worked in the grocery store business for 45 years and retired. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make you laugh. He loved baseball and skiing with his son Michael. He was a righteous and loving man who cared deeply for his family. His gentle presence will be missed but his legacy will continue.

Viewing services will be held Saturday, April 17th, 2021, 10:30am at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Address: 12742 Lampson Ave, Garden Grove, CA 92840.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, April 24th, 2021 at 12:00pm at Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd., Ogden, UT 84401.
