Thomas L. Williams, 26 October 1922

CHEYENNE, WY – Thomas L. Williams of Cheyenne, died February 8, 2002 at United Medical Center West. He was born October 26, 1922 in St. John, ID, the son of William J. and LaVeda Williams Williams. He attended school in Malad, ID, graduating in 1941. He served in the US Army Air Force during World War II.

On February 15, 1945, he married Wanda Lucille Hetrich in the Logan Temple. They have lived in Cheyenne since 1960. He was an unemployment district supervisor for the State Employment Service for 24 years.

He was a member of Wagon Doctors, Cheyenne Frontier Days parade committee, Saddle Tramps Agriculture Board, and was a Boy Scout Leader. He and Lucille were officiators in the Denver Temple.

T.L. enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with family.

He is survived by his wife, one daughter, Deborah (Kenneth) Johnson of Cheyenne; eight grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Also three brothers, George Ralph Williams of Ogden, UT; Melvin R. Williams (Sharlene) of Meridian, ID; Verl G. Williams (Frances) of Malad, ID and one sister, Mary (Vahl) Mills, also of Malad. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dale Williams and John L. Williams.

Funeral services were held in Cheyenne, WY on February 12, 2002. Military Honors were provided by the American Legion Honor Guard. Burial was in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.
