THOMAS EARL RICHARDS

Former resident dies in Washington

Thomas Earl Richards, 72, Bremerton, Wash., died Tuesday [September 5, 1978] at Harrison Memorial Hospital in Bremerton.

He was born July 4, 1906, in Malad, to Parley Morgan and Martha Williams Richards. He married Theo Peabody March 25, 1929, in Malad. He worked several years at the power plant near Malad and had been a barber the past 30 years. He was a member of the LDS Church.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Boyd Richards, Bremerton, Wash.; four grandchildren ;and one great-grandchild; and one brother, Reed Richards, Coeur d’ Alene.

Funeral service was held Saturday at the Benson Funeral Home with Bishop Hubert Gleed officiating.

Family prayer was offered by Henry Pingel; prelude and postlude music, Patsy Bybee; invocation, Bud Pingel; vocal, Mr. and Mrs. Lew Williams; talk, Bishop Hubert Gleed; vocal, Carole H. Archibald; benediction, Dale Evans.

Accompanist was Patsy Bybee.

Concluding rites were at the Malad City Cemetery where Steven Peabody offered the dedicatory prayer. Flowers were carried by relatives and friends.

Casket bearers were Cle Peck, Roy Peabody, Ned Shaffer, Thorold Peabody, Tom Richards, Henry Richards.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
