Mrs. T.C. Chivers, Malad; Mr. and Mrs. Ray T. Owens, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Ves Owens, Ogden, attended the funeral of Thomas E. Owens who died March 20th at Long Beach, California after a lingering illness.
Mr. Owens was born July 19, 1884 at Malad, a son of the late John T. and May T. Owens. He attended school at Malad and Logan. A member of the LDS Church and of the Woodman Lodge, Mr. Owens married Rachel Evans of Malad. They moved to California where they have made their home.
Surviving are his widow, two sons, J.T. Owens, Long Beach, Calif; William E. Owens, stationed with the armed forces in Italy; four grandchildren; one sister; Irene Chivers, Malad; two brothers: Raymond Owens, Salt Lake City; Sylvester Owens, Ogden.
Funeral services were held March 24th at Long Beach and interment was at Westminister Cemetery at Santa Ana, Calif.’
